People seek therapy for many reasons. Some struggle with particular challenges in their personal lives, educations and careers. Many wish to improve their relationships with their family members and loved ones. Others want to feel happier, more fulfilled or confident in themselves. Therapy can provide effective and lasting changes in the quality of life.
Harbor Bridge Emotional Health has served the Westchester and Fairfield communities since 2007. Our services have expanded to serve the growing number of individuals who want the convenience of tele-therapy. We treat a wide range of issues, but we provide particular expertise in treating anxiety and work stress, psychological trauma, and the challenges that occur when physical illness strikes.
We offer flexible appointment times, including evening and weekend hours to accommodate busy lives.
I have been a licensed clinical psychologist (CT # 002766) for 17 years in the tristate area, having received my graduate degrees at NYU and Antioch University. My background has allowed me the opportunity to work with many diverse populations. I have worked with pediatric and adult cancer patients and their families at Mount Sinai and St. Barnabas hospitals, as well as police officers following the terrorist attacks on 9/11. My experience includes extensive work with individuals and families in several community mental health clinics, including the Yale Child Study Center.
In February 2007, I founded Harbor Bridge Emotional Health, in Greenwich, where I have treated individuals, couples, and families with a wide range of problems, including marital issues. With the rise in popularity of tele-therapy, my practice has extended its range to include all of Connecticut.
I have seen healing in cancer patients, 9/11 survivors, couples in distress, and finance professionals with extreme career stress. We have the capacity to heal even when situations seem to be hopeless or impossible. I can help you heal from trauma that is less dramatic, but still very painful, such as divorce, work stress, or problems with anxiety and depression.
I use therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive behavior therapy and solution-focused therapy that are well-researched and proven to work with a wide range of problems and types of people. These interventions are “client-centered,” where the psychologist’s role is to advise the client and provide each person with a range of choices for treatment.
